Young North Harbour Representative Lita Guo (North Shore) has had a remarkable start to the 2012 season. In her first two tournaments she has finished 4th and 2nd and has showed some excellent improvement in her game. The 1 handicapper shot rounds of 76, 77 and 71 at the Danny Lee Springfield Open to finish 4th. Impressively her final round of 71 was the lowest round by any women player at the tournament. In her next event, the New Zealand under 19's she again played brilliantly firing rounds of 71 and 78 to lead by one going into the third and final round. Her last round 76 was a good effort but unfortunately she was overtaken for the top spot by Wenyung Keh who fired a brilliant 69 to win by two from Lita. Still, a 2nd place finish in a national championship is a very fine achievement.
